Mass for the Commemoration of the Deceased
A Mass to pray for the happy repose of the souls of those who have died in the past year and all our faithful departed will be celebrated on Thursday 16th November at 7.30 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Keenaught. During the Mass a candle will be lit and brought to the altar for each of those who have died since last November.

The Annual Parish Mass for the dead will take place on Friday 17 November at 7.30 pm in St Columba’s Church, Straw. The names of all who have died in Ballinascreen or were buried or waked in our parish since last year’s Annual Requiem Mass, will be read ouExposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in St. Mary’s, Coolcalm on Friday 17th November from after the 10 am Mass until 3 pm in the afternoon.

Mass for Deceased Young People: A Mass will celebrated for all the deceased young people of the diocese in Saint Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry on Sunday 12th November at 7.00pm. It will be an opportunity for the family and friends of young people who have died to come together in a spirit of prayer and consolation.  All are welcome.

Alcohol Awareness Week ‘Alcohol and Families’ – 13-19 November.  Al-Anon Family Groups and Alateen meetings provide a safe and confidential environment for anybody who is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking. Tirgan Community Group:
Tea Dance Friday 24th November. Music by Michael Mawhinney. Adm £5 includes light Supper.
Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday 3rd December 12.00 noon till 5.00pm, Santa  arrives at 1.00pm  and children can visit him in his grotto from 1.00pm- 4.00pm , come along and view the beautiful handmade crafts by local crafters, then relax and enjoy a cup of tea in our tea-room. in our tea-room.

Knocknagin Hall Committee
Christmas Market and Fare will take place in the GAA Hall Longfield Rd Desertmartin today Sunday 12th November from 11am to 3 pm.  A Variety of gifts and crafts will be available. Everyone Welcome.
All proceeds in aid of Refurbishing the Parish Hall.

Crib Festival, Thornhill House, Derry.  A truly inspirational event with all sorts of cribs (creative, contemporary, traditional and in Augmented/Virtual Reality) – Friday 24 November from 12:00 to 6:30 pm and Saturday/Sunday 25/26 November from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm.  Selection of seasonal gifts available.  Proceeds in support of the work of Thornhill Ministries.  All welcome! 

CONCERN – Fundraising Auction  Local supporters of Concern Worldwide are holding an auction of Art on Thursday 7 December at 8pm in The Playhouse, Derry. If any artists wish to donate pieces they can leave them at the Concern Bookshop, Ferryquay Street, Derry, or call 07894 813 724 to arrange collection.

Sarsfield Accordion Band: Band Practice will continue every Thursday night in the School Hall. All members are asked to attend. New members always welcome. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the school Principal and staff for granting permission to use the premises.
