Daily Masses
Coolcalm: Tuesday and Thursday at 10 am
Keenaught: Monday at 10 am and Friday at 7.30 pm (Vigil – St. Patrick’s Day)
St. Patrick’s Day
Masses will be on Friday evening at 7.30 pm in Keenaught and Saturday morning in Coolcalm at 10 am. There will be NO morning Mass in Keenaught on St. Patrick’s Day. There will be Mass in Irish at 12 noon in The Holy Rosary Church in Draperstown on St. Patrick’s Day.

Sunday Collection: Last week’s Collection amounted to £1,241.28. Green Envelope Collection amounted to £1275.40. Thank you.

Desertmartin Credit Union: We have opened a Christmas Savings Club, and we would like all our members to avail of this. Also, this club is opened to new members. Just call into the office to avail of this new service.

Friday 23rd March Tea Dance, music Michael Mawhinney, dancing 9 pm – 12 midnight Adm £5, includes light Supper. Also on the night there will be a brief talk on energy saving in the home and a few free gifts will be given out as well, Everyone Welcome.

Nurses needed to accompany Lourdes Pilgrimage 2018! The Derry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes take place from July 1st to 6th and is led by Bishop McKeown. 2018 marks the 160th anniversary of the apparitions at Lourdes. The Official Icon of the World Meeting of Families Timetable: Tuesday 13th March 7.30pm: Reception of Icon and Mass. Wednesday 14th March 9.30am: Mass 1.30pm: Prayer Service (school children would be welcome to attend). 7.30pm: Penitential Service/Confessions. Thursday 15th March 9.30am: Mass (local schools will be attending) Icon will depart after Mass. We would encourage as many people as possible to visit St Mary’s during this time. A Petition Box will be placed near the Icon for the petitions of your family. All of these petitions will be prayed for by the religious of Ireland and will be presented at the Final Mass at the World Meeting of Families in Dublin.

Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre are holding a celebration event for their ‘Carefully Yours’ Project for over 55’s, marking one year of Big Lottery Funding. This event will offer a chance for those not currently involved in the project to come along and find out more about the activities and services offered. The project aims to reduce isolation, improve health & wellbeing and promote independence. The event is being held on Thursday 22nd March at 11am in Involve House, Queen Street, Magherafelt. Sarsfield Accordion Band: Band will parade to 10.00 am Mass on 17th March. After Mass the band will parade through Desertmartin Village continuing to parade Magherafelt, then on to Cookstown for the main St Patrick’s Day Parade.

Due to increasing costs the club are asking members and those who appreciate a GAA club within the parish to enrol with Friends of Desertmartin. This is financial support by way of direct debit. There are two options: £10 per month which includes the membership fee for one adult or £20 per month which includes the membership fees for two adults or both parents whose children will be entitled to free membership. The club will ordering more sportswear at the end of March. Anyone wishing to order new gear contact Ciaran Higgins on 07968837094 before Monday 26th March. The shop will be open each Monday night at 8:00pm.

Due to inclement weather the Farm Families Health Checks planned for Thursday 1st March had to be postponed. It will now take place in the Gaelic Centre on Thursday 12th April from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. For further information contact Paddy Kidd on 07792127940.
