Desermartin PTAA: Annual Pioneer Mass and Presentation of Pins (including Young Pioneers) is on Wednesday 23rd May at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church, Coolcalm. Everyone welcome.

Tirgan Community Association: would like to thank everyone who supported their Hill Walk and Big Breakfast, on Sunday 6th May, our biggest ever to date, thanks to all the local farmers for allowing the Walk to take place over their land, their support is always appreciated. Our nominated charity this year was for Laurel House in Antrim.
We would also like to thank Mid Ulster District Council for the recent funding of £1500 for the Communities Venue Grant and £570 received for the Festival Grant. We are always grateful to the Council for their continued support.

St. Mary’s Grammar School, Magherafelt invite Parents of Current Primary 6 Pupils to a Transfer Information and Registration Evening on Tuesday 22nd May at 7.00 pm in the school Assembly Hall. Registration forms for the Entrance Assessment will be available for completion. Bring your Child’s Birth Certificate and 1 recent passport sized photo.

MA in Catholic School Leadership: Working in Partnership with St Mary’s College, Twickenham, the Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre offers this post-graduate degree, dedicated to the professional development and spiritual formation of Catholic school leaders. It is a great opportunity for those who aspire to, or have an interest in, leadership roles within the Catholic School system. Begins Autumn 2018. Beginners Workshop: Using your digital camera. Come along and learn some basic skills to help you use your digital camera with an experienced photographer and tutor. Bee Project will fund a Sewing Class from 7 pm to 9 pm on Friday 25th May in the Parish Hall.
They will also fund a 3 hour Craft Session on Wednesday 30th May from 7 pm to 10 pm in the Parish Hall. Both classes are open to anyone who has completed one programme with the Bee Project. Any queries, contact Olive on 078 8761 4094.

Derry Diocesan Youth Pilgrimage to Lourdes: St. Colm’s High School staff and pupils wish to thank all parishioners and St. Vincent de Paul most sincerely for their generous donations to help with the cost of the Lourdes Pilgrimage.

Workspace Over 60s and Carers’ Groups meet again from 1 pm – 3 pm on Thursday 24th May in Unit B1 (STEPS) at the front of Workspace. This session will welcome Carol McKee from the Agewell Project, giving details on the services it offers in Mid-Ulster, for example, good morning calls and home maintenance. Mid-Ulster Community Navigator, Anita Kelly, will also talk about the services available for carers and over 60s in Mid-Ulster, and Joanne Neeson from WYSE BITES will offer advice on healthy eating and making positive life choices.
