The club has been awarded the Gold Club Maith Award from the Ulster GAA Council. This credits the club on governance; duty of care; promotion of Irish culture and language, community interaction and coaching and games development. It also entitles the club to be accredited by Sport NI within the Clubmark NI Scheme on achievement of Club Maith Status. Much time had been spent on preparing the portfolio upon which the award was based. Congratulations to those who completed the programme and to many others who helped.

Well done to everyone who organised and made the annual Cul Camp Games such a success last week when dozens of children from the parish enjoyed a marvellous week of Gaelic games and fun in Longfield. Special thanks to our Children’s Officer Pamela O’Kane for the great work she did in promoting the whole event.

The club will be sending off their next order for club gear on July14th. Anyone wishing to submit an order please contact Ciaran Higgins on 07968837094 before Saturday 14th.

Congratulations to Eunan McElhennon who starred for Derry Minors last Sunday when they overcame Tyrone in the Ulster semi-final. The same to Gavin Donnelly who is part of the Derry panel and we wish them and the team all the very best in the Ulster final against Monaghan.
