Desertmartin PTAA: The Pioneer Committee will hold a meeting in Desertmartin Parochial Hall on Wednesday 15th May at 7.30 pm. Any members who wish to have their Pins updated or anybody who wishes to join the association may attend this meeting.

PTAA: Mass for the intentions of all Pioneers and total abstainers will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Ardmore, on Tuesday 21st May at 8.00pm. Everyone welcome. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

Tirgan Community Assoc. Would like Thank all those who supported our Big Breakfast and Hill Walk, people turned out in their hundreds to make this the biggest event so far and for such a worthwhile cause, A huge thank you to all our sponsors and to the volunteers in the kitchen for providing a first class breakfast, and those who helped out in any way to make this event such a huge success, your support is always greatly appreciated. Also a big thank you to our local farmers who allowed the walk to take place over their land, and to the hill-walking guides who guided the walkers safely home.

Derry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lough Derg The annual pilgrimage to Lough Derg will take place Friday 21st June – Sunday 23rdJune. Spiritual Director: Bishop Donal McKeown. Please consider participating in the diocesan pilgrimage this year. A bus is being arranged from Derry for those who wish to avail of it. £80 per person (including bus) or £65 for students (ages 16 – 18) including bus. ‘Scalp Challenge’ – The annual Scalp Challenge fundraiser for Concern will take place next Sunday, 19th May, commencing at 2.00pm. Follow signage on the right from Burnfoot. It is considered that this event requires a reasonable degree of fitness and weather-appropriate clothing and footwear.

Feile Fundraiser – Coffee Morning: As part of the fundraising programme in support of our U14 Girls who will be heading south next month to compete in the All Ireland Feile series a Coffee Morning will take place in the Gaelic Centre on Sunday 12th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. We ask everyone to give it your full support as it is a great honour for our club to be competing at All Ireland level.

Slieve Gallion Challenge: The club’s annual 10km/5km road race will take place on Sunday 19th May at 10:00am. Registration for runners will take place in the Gaelic Centre from 8:45 to 9:45am. Patrick Higgins Memorial Tournament: The Patrick Higgins Memorial Tournament will take place in Longfield on Sunday 2nd June at 1:30 pm. This is an U10 football tournament open to children who are P6 and younger. This annual event is ongoing since 2002 commemorating the great work our former chairman and trustee Patrick Higgins did for the club and county for many years.

Well Done: Hard luck but well done to our U14 Boys who played superbly despite losing narrowly to Lissan at Owenbeg last Sunday in a thrilling Feile na nOg Final.
