Attention Year 8’s: There will be an exciting new programme starting in the parish on Thursday 7th November in St Mary’s Hall Desertmartin. 7-9pm. The GIFT programme stands for Growing In Faith Together and each night there will be games, fun, faith activities such as art and crafts and time for reflection. GIFT will run for 7-weeks and booking forms are available at the back of Church. Please sign up, the GIFT Leaders are looking forward to meeting you all!

Annual Derry Diocesan Pioneer Mass: Sunday 27th October 2019 at 3 pm in St Mary’s Church, Ballerin Co. Derry. Chief Celebrant Most Rev. Donal McKeown. Refreshments will be served in the nearby Errigal Hall. All Pioneers and Friends are invited to attend.

NiHSCT are recruiting volunteers to train as community walk leaders in their local community to help encourage people to keep out walking. This will help improve physical and mental health. Training will be offer for all levels and you will get a opportunity to train for higher levels of walks.
If enough interest is shown we will organise walking Group in Desertmartin Parish Hall.

St Maria Goretti Prayer Movement Holy Hour Tuesday 22nd October 2019 at 8.15pm in the Immaculate Conception Church, Trench Road, Derry. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Prayer for healing for victims of abuse and reparation for the Church. Veneration of the relic of St Maria Goretti afterwards. Everyone welcome.

Gala Concert for Trocaire: Frs. Martin and Eugene O’Hagan of ‘The Priests’ and Derry soprano Margaret Keys have announced details of an Autumn gala concert in aid of Trócaire. The concert will be held in Clonard Monastery, Belfast on Friday 15th November at 7.30pm and will feature the three vocalists together with the choir of St. Dominic’s Grammar School in Belfast. Admission will be free by ticket with a suggested donation on the night of £10. Tirgan Community Group: Please Note – The Farm Family First Aid course which was due to be held on Monday 21st October, will now take place on 4th November at 7 pm. Everyone welcome. The club are seeking entrants for Scor na nOg which will take place later this year. Participants must be under seventeen years of age. Well done to our U12 players and management on winning the Plate Competition in an U12 blitz held Glen. Congratulations to Kate McCann who was named as Player of the Competition in this category.
