The Forty Hours Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in St Mary’s Church, Coolcalm today, Sunday 24th November after 10 am Mass until 6 pm. Exposition will continue after 10 am Mass on Monday 25th November until 6 pm.

Twelve Days of Christmas 2019 Draw
On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me… one winning ticket!’

The Parish is having a Christmas Draw again this year. There will be draws every day of the 12 days between Christmas Day and Sunday 5th January 2020. Every ticket will be entered into all the draws, which means everyone has 33 chances to win prizes. Total prize fund is £5,000. Tickets are £20 each, available from either of the Church Sacristies, Desertmartin and Ballinascreen Parish Offices, and from Fr. McGirr at the Parochial House, 50 Tobermore Road. This would make a nice Christmas gift to send to members of your family and friends.

Congratulations to the students of St. Colm’s High School from Desertmartin and indeed all the students in the School for their fabulous and entertaining production of ‘Oliver’ that was performed throughout the past week in the High School. Well done everyone for their singing and acting talents, the stage crews, musicians, choreographers and teachers who were obviously involved so much in putting on such a marvellous musical show for all of us to enjoy.

Christmas Fayre: Our 2nd Annual Christmas Craft Fayre takes place in An Rath Dubh, Moneyneena today, Sunday 24th November from 12 noon to 3 pm. All donations in aid of Cancer Research.

Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre: Luncheon Club Volunteers needed Tuesdays 10 am – 2 pm. Our Carefully Yours Luncheon Club helps those aged over 55 socialise and connect with others in their community and provides a valuable community based source of support and friendship. SPUC (the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children) will hold an Information Evening on Tuesday 3 December at 7.30pm, in the Drummond Hotel, Ballykelly, on the steps pro-life promoters can take regarding the unjust imposition of abortion on Northern Ireland, focussing on the Government’s consultation process. Sarsfield Band and AOH Div 30: Mass for the Deceased members of the AOH in Desertmartin will take place on Thursday evening 28th November at 7.30 pm.

The Annual Bazaar will take place in the Gaelic Centre on Friday 6th December at 8 pm. This is a joint venture between the GAA and Parish where the proceeds are split evenly. Collectors will be calling at homes over the coming weeks.

A Youth Presentation night for our underage players will be held on Friday 29th November at 6.30pm. This is an opportunity for the GAA community to say thanks to all the young people of our club for their efforts and contribution throughout the year.

The annual club dinner and presentation will take place in the Gaelic Centre on Saturday 30th November at 8 pm. Admission is £20 per person. If you wish to attend please contact Pat Kidd on 077 1825 7555 or Ann Matterson on 077 3235 1672.

The Club AGM will place on Monday 2nd December at 8 pm. We invite all members and new members to attend.

Condolences: The club offers its deepest sympathy to the Meharg family of Brackalislea on the death of Micky Joe McGuigan, grandfather to current player Kelan.
