The band was formed over 100 years ago and has numerous outings down the years with the exception of the war years. The band has attended functions such as Ordinations, Confirmations, Processions, Carnivals, Sports Days and Pitch Openings in the parish and further afield. It was a predominantly male band but in recent years girls have been introduced. Uniforms are worn by members on all outings.
Band Practice takes place every Thursday night in St Mary’s Hall, Knocknagin Road, Desertmartin at 8.00pm. (New members are always welcome) Watch the Parish Bulletin for further details.
