Sunday Collection: Last week’s Collection amounted to £1,329.05. The Restoration Fund amounted to £1,126.13. Thank you.

Special Diocesan Mass: The Annual Diocesan Mass for those with special needs, and their families and friends, will take place in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown, Derry, on Saturday 10th March 2018 at 3.00pm. If you have a child who wishes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation or First Communion at this Mass please contact the Catechetical Centre on 0044 28 71264087.

Children in Crossfire Advent campaign is going well. Together we really can make a difference so thank you. Advent Boxes can still be returned to the church next week.

Desertmartin Credit Union: A change has been made by the Irish League of Credit Union iro “Death Benefit Insurance” stating that, all senior members have the option to opt out of the DBI, from January’18. It currently cost £15.50 per year, which is towards £2,500.00 for funeral expenses. If you wish to opt out, the form is attached, to your notification of our Annual General Meeting. AGM will be held on Tuesday 16th January ’18 at 8:00pm in our office. If you want more clarification regarding the
DBI, please contact our office as soon as possible on 02879634858 during our office hours.

~ Parish Hall Desertmartin ~
In association with People Plus N.I., we have been able to arrange the following Courses which will take place in the Parish Hall on the following dates. Craft Evening (1 session) on Monday 5th February from 6 pm – 9 pm. First Aid course (2 sessions) on Monday 12th and Monday 19th February from 6 pm – 9 pm. Sewing course (4 sessions) on Friday 9th, 16th and 23rd February and 2nd March from 6 pm – 9 pm. Have Your Say! The former Rural College/Derrynoid Centre has been lying vacant for 6 years now. The site is full of potential and so Workspace is keen to bring it back into use for the benefit of the wider community. Before they do, they want to get your views on what might be done with it. There are surveys available as you leave the chapel, please take one with you and bring it back next weekend. Completed surveys can also be left in Workspace, Draperstown Library, O’Kane’s Chemists, Ballinascreen Credit Union and Workspace Recreation Centre. Evening of Hope: St Mary’s Youth Choir will host their Service of Hope in St Mary’s Church Bellaghy on Sunday 28th January at 7pm. The evening of music, song and prayer is to raise awareness of mental health, suicide prevention and all life struggles. Performers include Donna Taggart, The Gribbin Girls, Oonagh Clarke and a host local artists. There will be guest speakers from mental health charities and professional organisations. All donations will be used to support mental health. Everyone welcome.

Tirgan Youth Club continues each Wednesday evening, Wednesday 17th January , Samba Drums and Ceramics for a 5 weeks programmes, Wednesday 21st February Claymation and Digital Music 4 week programme.

Sarsfield Accordion Band: Band practice continues on Thursday from 7.30 to 9.00 pm. If you have been a member would you consider returning to the band to uphold our traditions and culture, please come along. Everyone welcome. Monthly Draw tickets are now on sale from any committee member also a few calendars are still available at £4.
