WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES
To celebrate the opening of the WMOF in Dublin on Wednesday 22nd August, Ballinascreen Parish is hosting a FREE FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL in Dean McGlinchey Park on Tuesday 21st August starting at 6.30 pm.
Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy a pleasant community event which will feature music by Bleed’n Cowboys and a variety of side shows including a Craft Tent, Magic Show, Puppet Show, Storytelling, Play Trailer, Prayer Tent and lots more fun activities for all. Tea and juice will be served. Hot food and ice-cream will be available to buy.
This Parish Family Fun Festival, at which all children must be accompanied by an adult, will conclude at 9.30 pm with a spectacular Fireworks Display!
– Many thanks to all who have donated objects for the Great Religious Articles Give Away.
All items on this stall will be free. In addition to this stall there will also be a stall selling New Religious Objects at very keen and reasonable prices.
– To commemorate this special event, families may choose to have free family digital photographs taken. Please have an email address available to which the photo(s) may be emailed to.
– Everyone is very welcome to this Family Fun Festival!

Tirgan Community Hall: Tea Dance Friday 24th August, dancing 9 pm -12 midnight. Music by Ed Fox, light supper served. Adm £5.

Energy of Light Discos
Friday 31st August/Friday 28th September/Friday 26th October. Time: 8.30pm – 10.30pm. Location: Millennium Forum, Derry – Studio Theatre. Cost: £3
This is a monthly disco for 15+ who are experiencing limited physical, sensory and or learning disability. DJ Oliver will have you dancing to a range of music including pop, country and the very best of dance hits.

Crochet Class : With tutor Mary Kelly 11 am – 1 pm will continue on the 17th, 21st & 24th Aug. Classes are open to all. Bring a size 4 or 4.5 Crochet hook and ball of wool.
Exercise Programme: with Chris Trainor Monday 20th & 27th Aug. 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm for over 18s. Admission Free.

The Biggest Loser
The club will be promoting a fundraising programme starting on Monday 10th September called the Biggest Loser. A ten week exercise activity for those who enjoy keeping fit with the ambition of losing weight. Registration fee is £50 and it is for people over 18 years of age.
