Sick Visitation Fr. Dermot will visit the sick and the housebound of the parish this week, on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th March after Mass.

Sunday Collection: Last week’s Collection amounted to £1831. Thank You. The Trócaire Lenten Collection has reached £2979.55 so far.

First Holy Communion will be next Saturday at 11 am in St. Patrick’s, Keenaught

Acknowledgement: Fr Madden wishes to acknowledge the legacy of £1000 bequeathed to the Desertmartin Parish.

Blessing of Graves: This year’s annual Blessing of Graves in our Parish will take place on 25th and 26th May and in the Ballinascreen Parish on the 16th June.

Padre Pio Mass: The monthly Mass in honour of St Pio of Pietrelcina will be celebrated on Monday May 6th in The Holy Rosary, Draperstown at 7.30 pm. Rosary and Novena prayers 7.10 pm. A relic will be available for veneration.

Tirgan Community Assoc, is having the Annual Hill Walk and Big Breakfast on Sunday 5th May. Registration will be from 9 – 9.15 am. Fee £10 for Walk and Breakfast or £5 Breakfast only. Walkers will be bussed from Tirgan Hall to Lough Fea where the Walk will commence over Slieve Gallion and return back to Tirgan Hall. The Walk lasts about 2 hours and as usual we have our guides and first aid on hand. Please wear the appropriate clothing and footwear for the Walk. This year our nominated charity is Aware NI (Suicide Awareness). Donations can also be given to any committee member.

Ballinascreen Parish Draw commences its new year soon with £2000 in monthly prizes. The Ballinascreen Parish is very grateful to its many parishioners and friends who support the Draw. They are encouraging parishioners and friends in Desertmartin to support the draw this year. Annual subscription is £60 or £5 per month. You can join the Draw through our Parish Office or contact the Ballinascreen Parish Office in Draperstown.

Come And See: If you are interested in exploring the possibility of diocesan priesthood, you are invited to attend a Come and See Weekend in St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May. SMA Retreat Centre, Dromantine, Newry, is offering a short Retreat: Awareness and Mindful Living, conducted by Martina and Patrick Sheehan, from 10 am on Friday 10th May to Sunday 12th May at 2 pm.

A Holy Hour in St Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry, led by Fr Paul McCafferty, at 8 pm on Thursday 9th May, to pray for an increase in Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious life in the Diocese of Derry. All are welcome.

The Holy Family Padre Pio prayer group will hold their monthly meeting in the Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty, Derry, on Tuesday 7th May, starting with Mass at 7.15pm, There will be a 1st class relic at the meeting, and all are welcome.
Parish Ministry Day On Lough Derg, Saturday 18th May: This unique day on the Island offers the opportunity for people in lay ministry across all parishes and dioceses to gather together and enjoy an enriching spiritual experience. The theme for the day is ‘It is Christ we are serving‘ and the guest speaker will be Mr Jim Deeds. The day will begin at 10.30 am and conclude with the Celebration of Eucharist at 3 pm.
