Special Collection 22nd/23rd July
The Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference has announced that special collections at all Masses will take place across Ireland on the weekend of 22nd  and 23rd July to fund life-saving aid for people currently affected by the devastating hunger crisis in east Africa. The money raised will be donated to Trócaire which is delivering emergency food, water and health care to tens of thousands of the 25 million people affected.  For further information log on to www.trocaire.org.

Workspace Recreation Centre Ladies advanced exercise classes with Nuala will commence on Wednesday 26th July – Wednesday 30th August. Every Monday and Wednesday from 8-9pm.  £27.50 for the 6 week programme

Nuala’s ladies only beginners exercise classes will commence on Thursday 27th July – Thursday 31st August, 7-8pm each Thursday. £15 for the 6 week programme.
 
Early morning classes with Nuala will commence on Friday 28th July – Friday 1st September. Classes will take place every Monday & Friday morning from 6-15am – 7am. Open to both males & females. £27.50 for the 6 week programme.
 
Male’s only exercise classes with Joseph Cairns will commence on Tuesday 25th July – Thursday 31st August. Every Tuesday& Thursday from 8-9pm. £30 for the 6 week programme. Spaces for all classes are limited and are only secured when full payment has been made into the Workspace office.

St Mary Hall Desertmartin:
Social Dancing Class continues in the Parish Hall Desertmartin every Tuesday night from 8 pm to 10 pm. Admission £4. Everyone welcome.
The next four weeks of Craft Classes with tutor Louisa Kelly are now fully booked.
A six week programme funded by the Public Health Agency on Mental and Emotional Well-Being and Suicide Prevention will commence in the Parish Hall on Monday 24th July from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm. An U12 Girls Blitz will take place in Longfield on Saturday July 29th.  This is an eight team invitation tournament.

The Eugene McGovern Over 35 Memorial Tournament will take place in Longfield on Saturday 5th August. 

The club offers its deepest sympathy to the McGovern family of Brackagh Lane on the death of Barney a life-long member.  Barney did sterling work as a collector of the club lotto and was an avid supporter of the Ladies football team on which many of his daughters played.  He was also uncle to our former chairman Michael McGovern.
