First Saturday:
The December First Saturday Mass in honour of Our Lady of Fatima, will take place in St Mary’s Church, Coolcalm, at 11.00 am on Saturday 2nd December. Priests from both parishes will be available for confessions immediately after the Mass. 

Sunday Collection: Last week’s Collection amounted to £1808.24. Thank you.

Children in Crossfire
We welcome to our parish this weekend representatives of Children In Crossfire who will speak at all Masses about their Advent Appeal 2017. Advent boxes will be available at the doors of the chapel from this weekend. Funds raised will provide vital health care and nutrition to some on the world’s most vulnerable children in Tanzania and Ethiopia. 

Retirement Mass: We are celebrating Mrs Fullen’s recent retirement from St Columb’s PS, Cullion with a Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Keenaught on Wednesday 29th November 2017 at 7.30pm followed by refreshments and presentation in the school hall.  All of our pupils, their parents, family members and school community (past and present) are cordially invited to attend this event in honour of Mrs Fullen.  To help with catering arrangements, please phone the school office 028 79631382 to confirm numbers attending.  We look forward to seeing you on the night.

Slievegallion Community Pre-School is holding an Open Day on Thursday 30th November from 9.30 to 10.30 am. All children and their parents are invited.

Weddings: Congratulations to Martina McGovern and Sean McBride and to Anne-Marie Kennedy and Shaun Murphy married recently in Desertmartin Parish.

Baptisms: We welcome into God’s family Thomas-John Conan Eastwood, Miles Arthur Rohm Miller, Isla Rose McGuigan, Brian Gerard Foley, Gerard Francis McElwee, Tadhg Bernard Cassidy, Conor Gerard McMullan who were baptised recently.

Tirgan Community Group Our 6th Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday 3rd December 12.00 noon to 5.00pm, a range of beautiful hand-made crafts from around Mid-Ulster on display, Pick up a few last minute Christmas presents, Santa arrives at 1.00pm and  children can get their photograph taken and receive a present, while adults can relax with a cup of tea in our tea rooms. A great day not to be missed. Everyone welcome.

Lissan Leisure Club: Whist Drive in Lissan Hall, Claggan Road on Friday 1st December at 8.30 pm.  Top Score £50.  Supper served.  Admission £5.

St Mary’s Hall – Desertmartin
The December dance is cancelled due to renovations continuing at the hall.
It is hoped that enough progress has been made to the hall for the Boxing Night Dance to take place.

All ticket sellers of the National Club Draw should submit their returns to the club no later than Monday 27th November.

The Christmas Bazaar will be held in the Gaelic Centre on Saturday 9th December. Collectors will be calling at homes within the parish in the coming weeks.

Well done to everyone who helped at Scor na nÓg which took place in the Gaelic Centre last Saturday night.
