Desertmartin Parish Bazaar
The Christmas Bazaar will be held in the St Mary’s Hall on Friday 7th December at 7.30 pm (after Mass).  
Collectors will be calling at homes within the parish soon.

St Columb’s PS, Cullion:  Inviting all prospective P1 pupils and their parents to join us on Tuesday 4th December at 11 am-12.15 pm for our Open Day.  The Education Authority has introduced a new Primary One application procedure for parents. An online portal will be available from Wednesday 2nd January 2019 and closes at 12 midnight on Tuesday 31st January 2019 for submission of applications to P1 in September 2019.  We will be able to provide you with any up-to-date information regarding this new application process on our Open Day.

Knocknagin Primary School Open Day  Thursday 6th December 1pm to 2pm and 6.30pm to 7.30pm.  Principal’s address at 7pm. For children starting Primary 1 in September 2019.  Everyone welcome.

Parent/Carer & Toddler Group Wednesday 28th November 5th and 12th December 9.15 am to 10.45am.  Everyone Welcome.

Draperstown Surgery Flu Clinic  There will be an evening Flu Clinic on Monday 26th November between 6 pm – 8 pm.  (No appointment necessary).  This will be the final Flu Clinic this year, so it is important to attend.

Tirgan Community Group: There will be an information evening for farming families, on Monday 26th November at 8 pm, the topic is ‘ Making Tax Digital ‘ and will be delivered by Kenneth Johnston from CAFRE, and Farm Rural Support,  this change will take place from April 2019, so it’s important that Farming families are made aware of this change.
Sunday 9th December, traditional music night, 7.30 pm -10 pm.
A date for the Diary. 17th January 2019, we are privileged to have Dr Éamon Phoenix, famous historian as seen on TV, to give a talk on Partition and the Birth of 2 Irish States 1916 – 1922, Admission is Free and everyone is Welcome.

Cancer Research UK  Christmas Craft and Gift Fayre in An Rath Dubh Centre Moneyneena this Sunday 25th November (today) from 12 noon to 3 pm.  Stalls include a range of crafts and gifts for Christmas including toys, sweets, books, hair bows, cupcakes and candles as well as Christmas crafts and personalised gifts.  Raffle on the day.  Opportunity to have your family Christmas picture taken! All proceeds in aid of Cancer Research.

Sarsfield Accordion Band:  Mass for Dead members of the AOH will be held in Swatragh Hall on Sunday 2nd December at 1 pm on the 50th Anniversary of the Fire that claimed 3 members of the AOH.  There will be a Christmas Quiz in the Market Tavern on 7th Dec at 8.30 pm.  We would like to thank all who supported our recent Buffet and Dance in Tirgan Hall.  Band practice for young members continues every Thursday at 7.30 pm.

The Club Dinner will take place in the Gaelic Centre Longfield on Saturday 1st  December at 8 pm.  Players from 1968 who won the County Junior Championship and Graham Cup of that year are being invited and honoured for their achievements.  We ask everyone to come along and celebrate with those men the Golden Jubilee of their much acclaimed success.  If you wish to attend please contact Pat Kidd on 07718257555 or Brona Connery on 07833554316.  Admission £20 per person. 

Lip/Sync:  Well done to everyone who organised Junior Lip/Sync which took place in the Gaelic Centre last Saturday night.  Congratulations to those who took part in providing a wonderful evening of entertainment and thanks to the audience for attending in such good numbers.
